Power Electronics & Systems Inc. was established in 1994, in Torrance, California as an Engineering and Manufacturing Company to design and develop new technologies in Electronic Ballasts for lighting. The Aerospace Engineering experience was the backbone of the technology. A U.S. Patent was awarded for efficient energy transfer into the fluorescent lamps.

PES established a manufacturing company in China. PES designed and manufactured the FIRST Electronic Shoplite for T8 and T12 lamps, which was introduced by American Fluorescent Corp.

With the successful production of the T5, T8/T12, unique Electronic ballasts and variety of energy saving Electronic Shoplites, PES, Inc. has acquired recognition in the fluorescent Lighting market. PES offers timely response to customers, provides excellent engineering and testing assistance, controls the factory in China with high standards of quality production. At present PES is developing High Power Factor/Low THD Shoplites, Economical Electronic Ballasts, White light LED Lamps. All products are UL and cUL, approved with FCC compliance.
