Model PES120ET5
The PES120ET5 ballast uses electronics circuits technology
for efficient energy saving output voltage inversion. This
ballast utilizes the latest state of the art semiconductors
and capacitors with low operating stresses and high temperature
ratings, assuring high reliability, superior performance
and longer lamp life. This light weight, efficient operation
ballast provides high lumen output, with up to 20% energy
saving when compared to conventional magnetic ballasts.
PRE-HEAT Start Operation Design
The PES120ET5 ballast PRE-HEAT start operation makes it
very suitable for use with the different pre-heat start
lamps types (F8T5, F13T5 and F14T5). The PES120ET5 ballast
unique design provides the best starting conditions, per
ANSI standards for Pre-Heat Start Lamps. Power Electronics
& Systems, Inc. has designed the ONLY electronics ballast
with this pre-heat start features. This ballast is also
available in INSTANT Start configuration.
PRE-HEAT Start Vs. INSTANT Start
Operation
Conventional instant start ballast greatly reduces the lamp
life (generally by 30% or more) if not started within 50
mSec. The PES120ET5 ballast, with its unique pre-heat feature,
is the most suitable ballast for operating pre-heat start
lamps. The ballast pre-heats the lamps electrodes and starts
the lamps within a specified time, per ANSI standards at
a high Rh/Rc ratio to insure adequate pre-heating conditions
which in turn provides longer lamp life and maximum lumen
output.
Noise Free Operation
The microelectronics system design provides a NOISE FREE
and quiet ballast performance where no bulky transformers
are used.
AC Line Surge Protection
AC line transient protection is provided and capable of
absorbing up to 2000 Amps of surge current to protect the
ballast.
Case Size & Installation
Mechanical dimensions and case size, with its light weight
and slim height features makes the PES120ET5 ballast suitable
for retrofitting and installation into any standard indoor
light fixtures such as under counter light fixtures. The
PES120ET5 ballast, which runs two T5 lamps, has the same
physical size as the conventional magnetic ballast, which
can only run a single lamp
